October 26th: Julie Livingston on Cars, Jails, Debt, and the Web of Racial Capitalism

The next Class of 1960 Scholar’s Program speaker, Julie Livingston, will speak on her work at the intersection of public health, anthropology, and history. She is a Professor of Social and Cultural Analysis and History at New York University. She is author of a number of books, including Self-Devouring Growth: A Planetary Parable as Told from Southern Africa and Improvising Medicine: An African Oncology Ward in an Emerging Cancer Epidemic.
