"Green Tea" with Anim Steel '94

On October 2, CES hosted a “Green Tea” with Anim SteelĀ ’94 while he was on campus as the Social Entrepreneur-in-Residence. Anim is the founder of the Real Food Generation (which has developed the Real Food Challenge) and is also the former Director of National Programs at The Food Project in Boston. During this informal discussion, Anim asked students, staff and community members in attendance to introduce themselves and their interests before answering questions and posing some of his own. This conversation ranged from the problems with the industrial food system, to the reasoning behind the Real Food Calculator, to Anim’s understanding of the alternative food movement and hopes for the future. The Green Tea was an exciting opportunity for a more personal conversation with one of the leaders of the emerging food justice movement.
