Climate Cardinals Executive Internship - Summer 2024

About Climate Cardinals:
Leveraging our volunteer base of 13,000+ youth in 82 countries, Climate Cardinals works to make
climate education more accessible to non-English speakers and empower grassroots climate education.
This starts with translations. We’ve shown we can deliver, translating 1.5+ million words of climate
information into 100+ languages for partners like Yale, UNICEF, UN Environment Programme, and the
Italian Government. Most recently, we partnered with Google to integrate their new AI tools into our
workflow, tripling our translation capacity.
Our work has been featured in The New York Times, CNN, TIME, on the front page of the Washington
Post, selected as the winner of the TED Global Idea Competition, and chosen for the Forbes 30 under 30
Class of 2023. Now, we want to scale our impact to leverage global youth networks and innovative tech
solutions to equip everyone, everywhere, to become part of the climate solution. Imagine a world where
everyone can become a Climate Cardinal, messengers sounding the alarm on our world’s greatest threat.
Internship Overview:
Climate Cardinals is open to a small cohort of remote executive interns, who will primarily report to the
Chief Operating Officer of the organization, Jennifer Evans. Our executive internship program is ideal
for individuals who are passionate about climate advocacy, and are excited to amplify the organization’s
commitment to climate education across the globe. Interns will develop project management,
communication, and networking skills by assisting the executive team and regional presidents with the
oversight of projects.
Specifically, interns will assist the executive team with fundraising, outreach to regional donors and
corporate sponsors, building partnerships with schools and other climate organizations, and other tasks
associated with building out the impact and reach of Climate Cardinals. Interns will also have the
opportunity to contribute to existing projects including but not limited to the Climate Cardinals
International Chapters Program, Climate Calling- a centralized hub for climate volunteer opportunities
that will launch later this year, the Climate Cardinals and Nature Conservancy Ambassadors Program- a
dissemination network for youth-centered climate education materials, and social media campaigns.
The executive interns will serve as vital members of our team and collaborate directly with high-level
Climate Cardinals staff, including the President, Vice President, and COO. Through providing support
and capacity within all of Climate Cardinals’ teams, interns will become familiar with many different
roles. The executive internship program is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing, youth-led
non-profit and we especially look forward to working with interns who have a strong commitment to
advocacy and addressing climate change on a global scale.
